Dr. Fariba Behnia-Willison, renowned Pelvic Floor Gynaecologist of fbw Gynaecology, in partnership with Dr. Vivienne Taylor of IBUKI Health, bring this non-surgical, non-hormonal treatment for gynaecological conditions to the Sunshine Coast.

MonaLisa Touch and PRP for Gynaecological Conditions

Do you suffer from: ♦ vaginal dryness ♦ painful intercourse ♦ prolapse ♦ excessive vaginal discharge ♦ incontinence ♦ urgency ♦ recurrent UTI's ♦ recurrent thrush or ♦ lichen sclerosis?

Many women, through menopause or other significant life change, find themselves suffering with these gynaecological conditions. Dr's Willison and Taylor believe that these conditions are not to be 'expected' as part of the ageing process and are successfully treating patients using both the MonaLisa Laser and Platelet Rich Plasma in combination, or as stand alone therapies, to address these debilitating conditions. These treatments are both non-hormonal and non-surgical, meaning there is no downtime and suitable for patients recovering from cancer treatment and those with blood clotting conditions.

PRP treatment

Dr Willison has pioneered the use of Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, to treat gynaecological conditions. Platelets are the component of blood that enhance clotting and, through biological processes, promote healing.

Introducing Platelet Rich Plasma to the vagina can enhance healing and thicken skin that has been damaged or eroded. PRP is used as either a standalone treatment for vaginal regeneration or in combination with the MonaLisa laser.

In trials, Dr Willison has seen a greatly increased rate of resolution to issues of incontinence, prolapse, vaginal dryness, lichen sclerosis, recurrent UTI's, recurrent thrush and painful intercourse when using both PRP and MonaLisa treatments in tandem.

MonaLisa Touch

The MonaLisa Touch laser treatment is the latest advancement in non-invasive treatment for vaginal atrophy and many other gynaecological conditions (listed above).

The procedure is well tolerated by patients, is fast - only 10 to 15 minutes - and provides a long term solution to these conditions by encouraging natural vaginal regeneration without the employment of topical hormones.
